Tips for Getting Around London

London is a bustling city, and as such, getting around can take a bit of time due to traffic congestion. Here are some tips for navigating the city: The Tube: The best way to get around London is by using the Underground, or "the Tube." It is easy to navigate and you can get to all the sights you'll want to see. You can even take the Tube from Heathrow Airport (LHR) into the city center. To make things easier, be sure to purchase an Oyster card that you can reload and use on both the Tube and city buses. Bus: The city bus is another great way to see the sights while going from one place to another. Rather than worrying about exact change for the bus fare, simply grab an Oyster card and load it with funds. Taxis: London's iconic "black cabs" are readily available and run off a meter, but tend to be the most expensive form of transportation. However, most accept credit cards, making them a convenient option if you're short on time.
